Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

Arsenal will be looking to continue their push for a European place via the Premier League when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

The Gunners are currently enjoying the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League - an eight-game streak that spans the whole of 2020 so far - but go into the weekend ninth in the table and eight points adrift of the top four.

Having seen their midweek game against Manchester City postponed at late notice due to fears over coronavirus, Arsenal travel to Brighton looking to win four league games in a row for the first time since October 2018.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Mikel Arteta's side ahead of the contest.

Lucas Torreira

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Lucas Torreira faces a race against time to be fit before the end of the season having suffered a fractured ankle during the FA Cup clash with Portsmouth earlier this month.

Sead Kolasinac

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: April 4 (vs. Norwich City)

Sead Kolasinac suffered a "significant strain" to his right shoulder against Everton last month and is expected to miss all of March as a result. The left-back is hoping to return to training towards the end of the month and could be back in contention after the international break.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers will miss the rest of this season and could even be sidelined for the beginning of the 2020-21 campaign having undergone surgery on a ruptured ACL.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Brighton)

One positive to emerge from the postponement of the Man City match is that the likes of Kieran Tierney have had more time to recover. The Scot was nearing contention for the midweek match after three months out with a shoulder injury and therefore should be available to feature in some capacity this weekend.

Cedric Soares

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Brighton)

Cedric Soares was in line to make his Arsenal debut against Man City having been sidelined with a knee injury since his January move from Southampton. The postponement will have allowed him even more time to recover, though, having returned to full training last weekend.

Shkodran Mustafi

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Brighton)

Shkodran Mustafi has missed the last two games since limping off against Olympiacos, but he too looks set to benefit from the extra recovery time and should be available for the trip to Brighton.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
