Whether or not Pochettino will feel able to thrust the 23-year-old straight into the starting lineup for such an important game, however, is a different matter.

Twenty-two-year-old full-back Kyle Walker-Peters will be cursing his luck after picking up a hamstring injury last week against Newcastle, having finally seemingly secured a starting spot at right-back for his boyhood team.
