Arsenal winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan speaks glowingly of Gunners teammate Mesut Ozil following his performance against AC Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League.

Arsenal winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan has lavished praise on teammate Mesut Ozil following his display in the Gunners' 2-0 Europa League win over AC Milan.

Ozil provided two memorable assists for Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey at San Siro, as Arsenal brought an end to a problematic losing run with a victory on the road in the first leg of their last-16 clash.

When asked about the practicalities of playing in the same side as Ozil, Mkhitaryan was quick to laud the abilities of the Germany international.

"Yes, everyone is asking about [being able to play in the same team as Ozil], but why not?" Mkhitaryan said when speaking to Vivaro News.

"This is not the first time that two number tens play together. It's just a pleasure to play alongside such a player like Mesut Ozil, because everyone knows that he is a world-class player.

"If I'm not mistaken, he provided two assists for the first and second goals. Why not? He can assist me and I can assist him as well."

Mkhitaryan's goal against AC represents the Armenian's first for the Gunners since joining from Manchester United in January.
