Atletico Madrid's Diego Godin: 'Arsenal will be more anxious in second leg'

Godin: 'Arsenal will be more anxious'
Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin predicts that Arsenal will be 'more anxious' to perform in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final between the two clubs.

Defender Diego Godin has suggested that Atletico Madrid will look to capitalise on any anxiety displayed by Arsenal in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final.

Last week, Arsenal failed to take advantage of having a man advantage for the majority of the first leg at the Emirates Stadium, with Atletico netting an away goal and securing a 1-1 draw.

Arsenal must score at the Wanda Metropolitano on Thursday night, and Godin has predicted that the Premier League outfit may struggle to find a balance between defence and attack.

The 32-year-old is quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying: "I imagine a similar game to last week's. They are going to have more anxiety because they need to score a goal and will try to be very well organised as a team, as a collective.

"We will try to be very blunt as well and try to live every moment to the max with maximum intensity knowing how important each ball will be for us."

Godin is looking to win his second Europa League crown with Atletico, having also lifted the trophy back in 2012.
