Former Manchester United striker Manucho will lead the line for Angola. Here, Sports Mole weighs up whether or not he can fire his nation to Africa Cup of Nations glory.

Angola scraped through their qualification group for the Africa Cup of Nations, edging out the challenge of Uganda by a single point.

Coach Lito Vidigal has experience of the finals as a player following his appearances during the 1996 tournament.

The vastly experienced coach has called upon a number of untried youngsters for this championship, believing that they have what it takes to cause an upset.

Group: B

Players to watch out for:

Manucho

Supporters of Manchester United may very well remember Manucho from his stint at Old Trafford. In fact, it was his performances at the African Cup of Nations that earned him a move to the Red Devils. However, he failed to settle in England and now plays for Spanish club Real Valladolid.

Andre Makanga

Angola's talisman and captain, Makanga will be asked to use all his experience to help guide the youngsters through the competition. He currently plays in club football in the lucrative Kuwaiti league.

Previous best: Quarter-finals 2008 and 2010

Odds outright to win: 33/1

Sports Mole says: Quarter-finals
