HBO has renewed anthology drama The White Lotus for a third season with a new cast in a new location.
The show, following the guests and staff in a luxury hotel, was moved from Hawaii to Italy for its currently-airing second season.
Jennifer Coolidge was the only regular cast member from the first season to return, reprising her fan-favourite role of Tanya McQuoid, and may even be back again for the next instalment.
Show creator Mike White has previously suggested that Japan could be the next hotel in The White Lotus chain to receive a visit, although the renewal announcement makes no mention of the location or cast.
Francesca Orsi, head of drama at HBO, said: "Reflecting on The White Lotus' humble, run-and-gun origin as a contained pandemic production, it's impossible not to be awestruck by how Mike orchestrated one of the buzziest and most critically acclaimed shows.
"And yet, he's only continued to reach new heights in season 2, which is the ultimate testament to Mike's raw, unparalleled vision. His courage to explore the uncharted waters of the human psyche, paired with his signature irreverent humour and buoyant directing style, have us all dreaming of more vacation days at the resort we've come to adore. We couldn't be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together."
The current season continues Sundays on HBO in the US and Mondays on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
