Joe Exotic's lawyers 'preparing to approach President Trump'
Lawyers working for imprisoned Tiger King star Joe Exotic are reportedly preparing to ask Donald Trump for a presidential pardon.

Lawyers representing Joe Exotic are reportedly preparing to approach President Donald Trump and ask him to pardon the Tiger King star.

The 57-year-old is currently behind bars in Texas, having been sentenced to 22 years for charges including animal cruelty and a plot to murder his long-term rival Carole Baskin.

According to TMZ, Exotic's lawyers are currently putting together a case file to demonstrate why the former zookeeper was wrongly convicted last year.

Footage posted on the gossip website shows a campaign bus adorned with the message 'President Trump Please Pardon Joe Exotic' that is supposedly en route to the White House.

Trump was asked about the issue of pardoning Exotic at a recent press conference, telling reporters that he would "take a look" at the issue.
