The MTV Video Music Awards are taking place in New York as planned despite the ongoing problems posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Initial plans to host the ceremony at the Barclays Center were dropped in favour of a unique event comprising live performances from across the boroughs of NYC, with the likes of Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, BTS, Miley Cyrus and The Weeknd all in line to appear.
