Coronation Street legend Alan Halsall has been reportedly forced to withdraw from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! following major surgery.
The 41-year-old, who has played Tyrone Dobbs on the soap since 1998, was expected to fly out to Australia to take part in the new series of the ITV reality show, which starts later this month.
However, Halsall has now revealed that he has undergone ACL surgery, which will require nine to 12 months of recovery time.
"ACL Reconstruction surgery. Well, On Friday I underwent ACL reconstruction surgery. I have been told the surgery went really well," he posted on social media.
"I know I have a long 9-12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me but I'm sure with the support of family & friends I'll get there."
The extent to which Halsall will be forced to take time off from Corrie is currently unknown.
