Jack Laugher leads GB's Europeans squad

Jack Laugher heads up British Diving's team for this August's European Championships in Glasgow.

Olympic gold medallist Jack Laugher heads up the British contingent selected for the European Championships this summer.

The 23-year-old topped the podium with 3m synchro partner Chris Mears in Rio de Janeiro two years ago and is defending champion in the event at the Europeans, which will be held in Glasgow this August.

"The pool in Edinburgh has some great memories for me as it is where I won my first Commonwealth title with Chris," said Laugher, who also picked up three gold medals at the Commonwealth Games earlier this year. "It will be great to return and face a new challenge."

The 15-strong team also includes youngsters Ross Haslam and Grace Reid, who picked up mixed synchro bronze at last week's Diving World Cup, while Tom Daley is absent from the lineup after recently announcing that he was to take a break for the remainder of 2018.
