Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball team qualify for Paralympics

Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball team secure their place at the next Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball side have earned a spot at the next Paralympic Games due to their performance at the European Championships.

Ahead of the tournament in Worcester, the team were aware that a last-four spot would be good enough to make it to Rio de Janeiro next summer, and they progressed to that stage with ease with a comprehensive win over Italy.

The defending European champions comfortably beat their opponents by a 77-48 scoreline to join the women's team that had qualified earlier in the week.

Both the men's and women's sides will play Germany in the semi-finals.
