Commonwealth Games cyclist quarantined over Ebola fears

Road cyclist Moses Sesay reveals that he was held in quarantine for four days over fears that he contacted deadly virus Ebola.

A Commonwealth Games competitor from Sierra Leone was held in quarantine for four days over fears that he may have brought Ebola into Britain.

Road cyclist Moses Sesay was admitted to a Glasgow hospital where he was tested for several conditions, including the deadly Ebola virus, but he was given the all-clear in time to represent his country in the men's individual time trial yesterday where he finished in 56th place.

Speaking to the The Mirror, the 32-year-old said: "I was admitted for four days and they tested me for Ebola. It came back negative but they did it again and this time sent it to London, where it was also negative."

Sierra Leone declared a state of public emergency over the virus earlier this week.
