Lokesh Rahul falls one short of a double century as India close in on England's first-innings score in Chennai.

Lokesh Rahul scored an impressive 199 for India as England struggled for wickets on day four of the fifth and final Test in Chennai.

The opener narrowly missed out on a double century during Sunday's session, being sent packing one short of the milestone by Adil Rashid, but he did help the hosts to 391-4.

Rahul shared a partnership of 152 with Parthiv Patel and 162 with Karun Nair - the former going for 71 and the latter remaining on the same score at the end of play.

Starting the day on 60-0, 417 adrift of their opponents, the Men in Blue made a huge dent in that deficit with only Rahul, Patel, Cheteshwar Pujara (16) and Virat Kohli (15) being dismissed.

Despite working hard, England now find themselves under pressure in a series that they have already lost, with India 86 runs behind in the first innings heading into day five.
