England all-rounder Ben Stokes will miss the remainder of the Test series against Pakistan with a calf injury.

The 25-year-old had already been ruled out of the third Test, which is underway at Edgbaston, after tearing a muscle at Old Trafford.

The Durham player pulled up while bowling during day four of his side's 330-run victory last week.

Today, it was confirmed by England that Stokes will not feature in the fourth and final Test, but is hopeful of returning for the ODI series.

The all-rounder had only just returned to international cricket after missing three Tests due to knee surgery.
