Despite missing out on a place, Stuart Broad describes England's 15-man squad for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup as "really exciting".

Stuart Broad has insisted that England's squad for next month's ICC Twenty20 World Cup is "really exciting".

Twenty-nine-year-old Broad was believed to be in contention for a place in the 15-man party, but he failed to make the cut.

Nevertheless, the bowler has stressed that he will be right behind the team as they bid for glory in India.

"Really exciting T20 WC squad. We've got proven international performers mixed with brilliant prospects. I'll be supporting every ball," he wrote on Twitter.

England have been drawn in a group alongside Sri Lanka, South Africa, the West Indies and one other currently unknown qualifying nation.
