Deontay Wilder will attempt to defend his WBC heavyweight world title for a seventh time when taking on Luis Ortiz on March 3.

Unbeaten WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder is to face Luis Ortiz at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on March 3, it has been announced.

Wilder, aiming to successfully defend his title for a seventh time, was initially due to face Ortiz towards the end of last year.

The Cuban boxer tested positive for a banned substance, however, pushing the fight back until 2018.

An agreement has now been put in place for Ortiz to get his title shot in less than two months' time, as the 'Bronze Bomber' seeks to keep hold of the belt he won in January 2015.

Bermane Stiverne stepped in to fight Wilder in November, but he was stopped in an explosive first round.
