New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher has insisted that the team could improve quickly next season, and hopes for a drastic transformation after their struggles this year.

After the Milwaukee Bucks were offered as an example of how to turn things around, Fisher was confident that the Knicks could achieve even more than their Eastern Conference rivals.

"I guess that's possible, but we are not here trying to squeeze in, we are not here trying to go from 15 to 36," said Fisher, according to the New York Post.

"That's just not who we are. So it can turn around quickly. It will turn around quickly."

Team owner James Dolan recently insisted that he is confident that team president Phil Jackson will be able to rebuild the roster this summer.

Fisher echoed that sentiment as he reiterated that the Knicks have a top Draft pick and significant salary cap space to work with this off-season to acquire players to help them compete next year.
