Stephen Curry and Paul George have been named the players of the month for the Western Conference and Eastern Conference respectively.

Last season's MVP Curry has been instrumental in leading the Golden State Warriors on a 20-0 run - the best start to a season in NBA history - and he averaged 31.6 points per game in the opening month of the new campaign.

The 27-year-old also broke his own record for most three-pointers in a calendar month by finding the net 77 times from beyond the arc in November.

George's impressive form comes after he was restricted to just six appearances last season due to a broken leg suffered while on duty with Team USA.

The Indiana Pacers forward led his side to a recovery after defeats in each of their opening three games, averaging 27.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game in the opening month.
